The Graduate Institute of Conservation of Cultural Relics and Museology is divided into two divisions. The “Museology Division” emphasizes organizational management, preservation of cultural heritage, communication and interpretation, and exhibition planning to nurture young talents. The “Conservation of Cultural Relics Division” trains conservators specializing in the conservation of cultural relics by learning general theory, knowledge of craft techniques, materials, and mechanisms of artifact deterioration, as well as methods for the protection and management of cultural relics, concepts on the division of labor, and methods of scientific analysis.
